Luna Park Sydney

Luna Park Sydney opened on the 4th October 1935 and has been closed for renovation several times since. Today it is one of the oldest and largest amusement parks in the world.

Luna Park Sydney has more than 20 rides and lots of other amusements. Be aware that some of the rides closes temporarily due to maintenance. You can see which rides are open and closed on the parks’ official website.

Entry Fees and Tickets

The entry prices in Luna Park Sydney range from $34 – $65 for the daily passes. The pricing depends on the weekday (mondays are fx. cheaper than fridays and weekends), and whether the pass if for an adult or a child. Buying you tickets online will save your $2 – $4 per pass. The ticket system is based on the children’s heights, and is divided into red (85 – 106 cm), green (106 – 132 cm), and yellow (+132 cm) colors.

Annual passes are also available. They cost $175. As with the daily passes the annual passes can be bought cheaper online.

Gift cards are also available.

Opening Hours in 2024

In 2024 the opening hours of Luna Park Sydney are seasonal, meaning that it is open every day of the week in the summer season (april – september). In holidays and in january – february, it is open most days. In the remaining months it is normally only open from friday to monday.

You can go to Luna Park Sydney by ferry, where you have to take the ferry to Milsons Point Wharf. You can learn more about the ferry route and timestables on the  NSW Transport website.
